Summary:
Coach Mathieson joins the Mt. View family after a one year stint as the Athletic Director at Meridian High School, in Bellingham, Washington. He also spent three years as an assistant coach at Western Washington University (2004-2006). He spent two seasons as the Vikings quarterback coach before moving to the defensive side of the ball to tutor linebackers and coordinate the special teams units. He also served as the teams Academic Coordinator. Coach Mathieson was the Head coach at Ferndale High School in 2003, directing the Golden Eagles to a 9-2 record, a Northwest League title and a quarterfinal round appearance in the Class 3A state playoffs. The team received the John R. Trotto Team Sportsmanship Award and Adam was named Washington State Football Coaches Association District 1 and Northwest League Coach of the Year. Prior to being named Head Coach at Ferndale, he was an assistant coach at FHS for four years serving under Washington State High School Hall of Fame Inductee Vic Randall. He also assisted in track and field for four seasons at Ferndale and spent one year as an assistant at Squalicum High School in Bellingham. He completed his Master's degree in education (guidance and counseling) from City University in 2004; Received bachelor's degree in history from Western in 1999 and obtained teaching certificate in 2000. He was a three-year letter winner at Western, starting as free safety as senior in 1997 ... Credited with 33 tackles and intercepted two passes ... As junior, helped Vikings to 11-2 record and NAIA Division II National Championship game .... Honorable mention all-Greater Spokane League pick as junior at North Central High School in Spokane ... Summary:
Coach Chapman is in his fourth year coaching at the high school level. In the 2006 season he was the defensive coordinator as well as the offensive and defensive line coach for the Hudson's Bay high school freshman team. 

Coach Chapman graduated from Lakes High School in Tacoma, Washington where he was a three year varsity starter in both football and baseball. While playing under legendary WIAA "Hall of Fame" football coach Dick Zatkovich, Coach Chapman was named as a 1st team All-SPSL defensive end his senior year and later was named as an All Area selection at the same position. Coach Chapman attended Spokane Falls Community College where he played football, starting at the outside linebacker position as a freshman.

Coach Chapman has been married for 18 years to his wife Charli. They have two kids ages 14 (Samantha) and 17 (Zach). Coach Chapman currently works for Wells Fargo Bank. His hobbies include playing guitar, watching movies, Xbox Live and spending time with his family.

Summary:
I entering my second season with the Mountain View football program. I was also last year's head baseball coach here at Mountain View high school. Prior to that I have been at Concordia University coaching baseball.

I am a 2000 graduate of Evergreen High School in Vancouver where he was an All-State catcher, and three year starter on the football team. After high school, Aaron attended Edmonds Community College where he was a 1st Team All-NWAACC performer on the 2002 NWAACC Championship baseball team. At Concordia, Coiteux was a 2 time All-Conference, All-Region, and Honorable Mention All-American outfielder.

Coiteux graduated from CU in 2005 with a degree in Secondary Physical Education. Aaron is a substitute teacher with the Evergreen School District and lives with his wife, Natalie, in Vancouver.

Coach Shay Dean is in his 2nd year as a Thunder football coach for both the varsity and junior varsity teams. He is also the head freshman basketball coach and an assistant track coach here at Mountain View High school. Shay competed in basketball at the collegiate level and has also spent time in the arena football league.

Summary:
Coach Lodwig has coached at Mountain View for five years.  He spent his first two years as the head Freshman coach, and then two years as the head JV coach.  He coached varsity wide receivers and defensive backs as well.  This past season, he stepped back into a volunteer role, working primarily as team chaplin. 

A football coach for ten years, he spent time on the coaching staffs at Harrisburg and Sherwood High Schools as well.  He has been married to his wife, Heather, since 2003, and they are the proud parents of their son Jackson, born in 2009.

Coach Procive returns to the Thunder Football program after a 9 year absence during which he worked in the Athletic Dept. at Mountain View.

"Pro" has been a teacher & coach in the Evergreen School Dist. for 29 years. He has coached Football, Wrestling, Basketball & Track. During his 25 years at Mountain View he has been the Athletic Coordinator, Associate Head Football Coach, Assistant Varsity Girls Basketball Coach and is currently the Head Track & Field Coach for the past 20 years where his teams have won a state championship and 7 district titles.

Coach Procive has one son (Tyler) who partcipates in Football, Wrestling, and Track.

During free time, Coach Procive enjoys running, traveling, golf, and reading.

Coach Van Datta joins the Thunder as the Offensive Lineman coach and a Mountain View Health Teacher. Last year he was the offensive line coach for Olympic High School and 2007 League Champions as well as offensive coordinator for the Junior Varsity football team.

Coach Van Datta completed his Health and Physical Education degree from Woodring College of Education at Western Washington University in 2008. 4 Year letter award and starter on the offensive line for Western Washington Football earning 2002 Western Offensive Scout Team player and 2006 Senior Scholar-Athlete. Graduated from Central Kitsap High School in Silverdale, Washington. 2002 First-team all-Narrows League Bridge Division pick as senior ... Played in 2002 East-West all-star game ... Team MVP and Captain's award winner ... Started and lettered three years ... Also earned one letter in baseball and one in track.

Coach V likes to golf, fish and backpack. He has been married 1 year to Stephanie.
